The Artist Behind Warm Hearth Studio
I’m debbie…. Photographer. Researcher. Songwriter.
I grew up in a small town in the southeastern part of Indiana. I’ve always loved taking photographs and I love stories about real people and real things. I like looking at life close up and from interesting angles. I love the details that make up the big, beautiful picture ….both literally and figuratively.
In 2006, I started an Etsy stored called The Warm Hearth. I started designing notecards and postcards with my original photography. I created custom orders for folks and started learning about business plans. I even had a mention in a local newspaper. But in 2008, I had to put the shop on hold while our family moved 800 miles “back home” to Indiana. About a year later, I started getting emails asking for my notecards and I re-opened The Warm Hearth……and then my computer crashed.
Fast forward to 2016…..two weddings and a graduation later and I realized that I had one child left in high school. What was I going to do? So I revamped The Warm Hearth and decided to launch Warm Hearth Studio in it’s place. Since 2017, Warm Hearth Studio has taken me on a journey as I’ve had to learn how to operate a small business, a website, and refine my ideas of what I see the Studio looking like in the future. I used the word, Studio, for a specific reason: I have several different lines of photographic art that I want to include as well as leave room in the future for any of my artistic-minded children to join me.
From my studio, I will share my stories starting with photographic art prints, notecards and decor. If you don’t see what you are looking for, I will be happy to create a custom order for you. I can offer photographic art prints on other mediums such as canvas, metal, or wood. Just let me know, and we can design that perfect piece to share your vision of your world. It’s time to start telling the stories I’ve lived, especially, those told with the help of a lens.
Photographs and cards are printed by a professional photo lab. Some products can be drop-shipped. Estimated in-lab times are listed below. Be sure to add shipping time to the in-lab estimate when planning your order.
MATTED PRINTS come with acid-free mattes, and clear sleeve. If you are near Decatur County, Indiana and would like to pick up your matted print, let me know in the contact form. I have a limited number of prints on hand, otherwise, I can give you an estimate for shipping times since they will need to be shipped to me and then I will matte and send them to you. Matted prints will be titled and signed.
PHOTO PRINTS are printed on Kodak Professional Endura Premier Lustre paper which is closely related to Matte finish with a slight sheen. True to life skin tones and an archival life of 100+ years. In-Lab estimate 1-2 business days.
CANVAS PRINT images are printed on museum grade cotton canvas, and are laminated by a protective gloss for added longevity. Each piece arrives ready to hang with wall bumpers and a pre-installed sawtooth hanger or wire hanger. Canvas Prints can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Depending on the image, the image may wrap around the canvas or have black or white sides. I reserve the right to choose what looks best for the image. If you have a preference, please let me know that when you order. In-Lab estimate 7-10 business days.
METAL PRINTS are the most vibrant of all print media, are created by infusing an image onto raw aluminum. Display options include a black shadow mount, an aluminum easel or a float mount hanger. All Metal Prints are 1mm thick and are finished with a protective white gloss. The metal substrate used in production has tiny bumps and imperfections that make each piece truly unique. Our Quality Control team will only order a reprint of the piece if an imperfection distracts from the image itself. In-Lab estimate 4-5 business days.
NOTECARDS & POSTCARDS are printed on acid-free paper with semi-gloss finish. Custom cards and quantities of 25 or more of the same style will be drop-shipped.
